An Adventure for the Mind and Body
Come explore the great outdoors! Active learners will enjoy our hands-on approach to nature study at age-appropriate levels. Guided by senior naturalists and educators, boys and girls from preschool through 9th grade learn about a range of environmental and scientific topics in the classrooms, in the Natureplace natural science museum, on the 62-acre Earthplace wildlife sanctuary, and through field trips for older children.
3’s, 4’s and Kindergartners
From June 16 - August 8 their youngest campers enjoy 2-week sessions in which they learn about different kinds of plants, animals, insects and sea life. Trail walks, crafts, activities, field games, songs and books incorporate theme-related lessons for children who will be entering 3-year-old, 4-year-old and Kindergarten programs in the fall.
Grades 1-9
Elementary and middle school children expand their horizons through exploration of the Earthplace sanctuary and field trips. In one-week sessions from June 30 - August 8, all age groups study topics in various scientific disciplines such as biology, ecology, astronomy and geology. Selected sessions include canoeing and on-site camping. From June 23 - 27, Grades 5-9 enjoy a weeklong exploration of Stokes State Forest in New Jersey while camping, hiking and whitewater rafting.

Our Counselor-in-Training program is designed to give motivated 14 and 15-year olds guidelines for professional behavior and strategies for handling specific situations. CIT’s not only attend classes that teach effective, professional skills but also gain practical experience by assisting counselors.
