Welcome to Adopt-A-Dog! Adopt-A-Dog is a dog and cat rescue organization serving New York and Connecticut and beyond for nearly three decades. Our shelter is open seven days a week. Our dedicated staff and volunteers strive to provide the best care possible while the animals are at our shelter awaiting safe and permanent homes. We place hundreds of animals in loving, forever homes each year.

Suzie is a sweet, loving 10-Year-Old black Labrador Retriever who arrived at our shelter as her former owner was moving away and could not take her. This good-natured and SUPER sweet girl has resided in our lobby since arrival and meets and greets everyone who visits our kennel with a wagging tail. While awaiting her new home, she has been recently diagnosed with a torn ligament in her leg, which our veterinarian recommends surgery as this is extremely painful for her. As this pain affects her well-being, she would feel SO MUCH BETTER if we can raise the funds needed to pay for her surgery. The estimate for the surgery is $3,000. PLEASE help us help her.
